Central Essex Community Services (CECS) is a community interest company (CIC) that provides health and social care. Our core business is in Mid Essex with some important pan-Essex services. We also provide services in South West Essex, Waltham Forest, Redbridge and Cambridgeshire.

CECS provides a full range of community health and social care services – everything from universal services, such as community hospitals, district nursing, health visiting, school nursing, podiatry and public health, to specialist services for children and people with long-term conditions, including telecare and telehealth.

CECS has a strong history of collaborative, partnership working such as our pan-Essex children’s services that are jointly funded by PCTs, the local authority and hospices in the third sector. We also have a growing track record of successful competing in tenders, which has seen our development outside of our historic area in Essex.

CECS takes a mature approach to business that is highly suited to the emerging balance between integration and competition. We will collaborate when we can, and compete when we must.
